Uniquely Ours....

Our long standing customers will be aware that we have have been crafting our own seasonal gin liqueur labels for the past couple of years. Colourful card, a steady hand and a mighty guillotine allowed us to whip things together quickly for our fruit infused gins. However, they haven’t always stood the test of time or particularly travelled well!

As we began to recognise the firm favourites within our seasonal gin varieties we decided it was time to provide them with a quality label in order to present a truly quality product.

We commissioned renowned local artist, Rob Hain, to try and illustrate the influence of our surroundings at Selkirk Distillery.

We feel that Rob captured the freshness of spring and regrowth with his painting of the orchard and walled gardens at Philiphaugh Estate. This is where we choose the fruits and herbs we like to combine to produce our unique seasonal fruit gins.

We had long planned to produce a cask aged gin. Having found a local source for ex-whisky barrels and produced a quality gin we felt would accentuate the flavours we were looking for, we had the product but not the label.

Rob gave us exactly what we needed. His interpretation of Philiphaugh House gave the moody, autumnal, woody feel we were looking for in a label. Perfect for our barrel aged gins.
